Partner Massage, Sundays 7-8:30pm Co-taught with Mickey Barr, LMT $40 per household https://www.fivedoorsyoga.com/blog/2020/4/28/partner-massage-class Description:
Thai Massage is system of bodywork and folk medicine that is practiced and taught within villages and family units as a way to help heal the body, mind, and spirit. It is not uncommon in Thailand for families to have their own lineage of massage that is transferred and refined from one generation to the next. For example, our teacher in Thailand Jack Chaiya learned from his mother Lek Chaiya. Props Required and Physical Requirements: Thai Massage takes place fully clothed on a floor mat, so the only equipment you really need is a yoga mat or two plus a few blankets and pillows to make yourself comfortable. Since it is a floor massage there are few physical prerequisites for both participants: 1. The ability to get up and down off of the floor with ease 2. The ability to bear your bodyweight on your hands and wrists 3. The ability to fully kneel, lunge, and sit on the floor
